2,2-Dimethoxypropane (DMP), also known as acetone dimethyl acetal or DMP, is a colorless, flammable liquid that is a product of the condensation of acetone and methanol. It's commonly used as a water scavenger in reactions that are sensitive to water and can also be used to quantify water content in samples. 

Piperidine appears as a clear colorless liquid with a pepper-like odor. Less dense than water, but miscible in water. Will float on water.
